接觸到Damien Rice 是不久前的事.
在巴友分享的文中, 聽到這首Rootless Tree .
第一次聽的時候, 只覺得Damien Rice 挺能唱的, 卻也沒真的喜歡上他的作品.
一天, 在騎單車的時候, 突然腦海中響起Rootless Tree 中的歌詞旋律.
回到家後, 便又找來聽了, 想說再試試看(去欣賞).

後來, 因為我個人欣賞角度的習慣, 上Youtube 找他這首歌的現場版本.
這就找到了, 下面這段非常精彩的現場演出影片.
不僅是現場的, 並且不同於我原先聽到的搖滾版本, 是非搖滾或是說不插電unplugged/Acoustic
影片開頭映入眼簾的一位氣質美女, 名為Lisa Hannigan , 跟Damien Rice
一同合作了好一段時間, 可惜已經拆夥了.
她的聲音和詮釋都很棒, 可惜在原本的搖滾版本當中,
被其他樂聲給掩沒了, 連同大提琴聲也是.
但都在這個版本裡, 可以清楚得聽到, 他們在歌曲中分別的角色吃重演出.
若說我會喜歡Damien Rice 的話, 一個原因是他的聲線, 再一個是他的詮釋情緒.
很適合唱搖滾呢~

P.S. Acoustic版本影片的標題, 有個名字Abbey Road
那是他們演出的所在錄音室的名字.
也就是為什麼現場演出的影音品質還那麼高的緣故.
