一、歌曲介紹

「聖誕節休戰」是個發生於第一次世界大戰期間的故事，

它是德英雙方在聖誕節的一次非官方休戰，

事情發生在1914年12月24日的西線戰場，

那晚是個平安夜，

此時戰爭已經開打長達4個月了，

本篤十五世(當時的教宗)向政府請求在聖誕節的時候能夠休戰一天，

卻被各國官方嚴正回絕。

但是戰場上的士兵卻開始自主的休戰，

一名德軍用著不流利的英語喊道:「明天只要你們不開槍，我們就不會開槍」，

他們甚至開始用小聖誕樹裝飾自己的壕溝，

然後開始唱起了聖誕歌，

英國士兵也開始唱起了自己語言的聖誕歌做為回禮。

很快的，

和平氣氛感染了整個戰場，

雙方士兵開始不分敵我的互相交流，

它們互道聖誕快樂、玩起了交換禮物 --- 以香菸、酒、食物為主，

甚至踢起了足球。

英國第二軍團指揮官赫拉斯·史密斯-多倫爵士在得知事件後相當生氣，

發布命令嚴格禁止與敵對的德軍進行任何交流，

雖然上級如此命令，

但是在每年的聖誕節，

各地還是會有故意抑制戰火的狀況，

例如雙方砲火在固定的時間射向固定的地方，

以避免造成對方傷亡。

阿爾弗雷德·安德森是一位蘇格蘭老兵，

他曾經生動的回憶道:

「我還記得那片寂靜，

詭異的寂靜。

我在戰壕中聽到的不是槍砲聲、爆炸聲就是遠處德國人說話的聲音，

可那天早晨，

周圍卻是一片寂靜，

因此我們喊叫著:『聖誕快樂』，

即便根本沒有人感到快樂。

直到下午，

寂靜的氣氛終於結束，

屠殺也重新開始了，

這是一場大戰中的短暫和平。」

很可惜的，

休戰結束之後，

殺戮將會繼續下去，

但可貴之處在於所有士兵都知道殺戮不會停止，

都知道明天自己有可能會死在對方的手中，

他們卻仍選擇在這歡樂的聖誕節中放下槍械，

享受著這得來不易且短暫的和平。

三、心得

主唱Joakim Brodén的聲音真的給人很「硬漢」的感覺，

與intro柔和的鋼琴聲呈現鮮明的對比，

這就是所謂的鐵漢柔情吧，

與這戰場上的感人故事非常的相配。
