正向組:

負向組:

Just fine, thanks.
I'm doing lousy.

其中 "Been better" 或是 "I've been better" 最微妙,
暗示了回答者原本不太好的意思,引導問候者追問下去。
實際用法如下:
至於人不舒服,當然不是用網路翻譯機所提供的 uncomfortable 或是 unwell,
而是該說 not well,
I'm not feeling well.(現在我身體不太舒服。)
那,綜合前文後理,
你要是人不舒服,可以這樣對答:
對方:How are you?(你好嗎?)
你:I've been better.(現在好點了。)
對方:What's wrong?(怎麼了嗎?)
你:I wasn't feeling well.(剛才我身體不太舒服。)
還要注意兩個重點:
1. 說 I'm not feeling well 或是 I wasn't feeling well
比說 I don't feel well 或是 I didn't feel well 更加道地也更加常見;
